Today Ethan started his playgroup. Today Ethan stopped his pacifier.

Mommy had to take action to stop Ethan from his beloved buddy "Tot-Tot" - the pacifier. He has been asking for it after the playgroup. He want it merely is because he is sleepy or hungry. He showed a BIG tantrum on the way home, til he vomited on his car seat. This was very hard for both daddy and mommy. On the other hand, Samantha was asking us to give him the "Tot-Tot". Sigh !! Sorry baby! Mommy has to do this.

Well, basically drama goes on for few days. Yes, few days. Lucky us! Now we officially win him off the pacifier. Hooray !!

1st day in playgroup

Ethan is officially joining the playgroup, which he is used to company his sister there for the past 1 year. He is very aggressive today and mommy had to chase after him everywhere. He drove the toy car and mommy was so worried that he might accidently hit someone there. We started downstair for introduction. Merely this session is to let all parents get to know each other and as well as the children.

Playgroup started at about 9.30am. When it was about 10.15am, we headed upstair for "Circle of time" which all of us will sit around in a circle and have some nursery songs. Ethan managed to sit still for a while and he wanted to walk around already. Hmm.. this is just like his sister when she is first joined pg.

10.30am is the snack time. Ethan cant wait for the playtime, so he didnt eat much and headed to the play room straight away. After this continue with story time. However not many children are paying attention. Cant blame them, only 1st day mah!!

Mummum -> Food
Oh O -> when something is not right, or dropped to the floor
Bye -> bye bye
Baby -> Open. When he wants to get something opened, "Baby"
Car -> Car. He got this one exactly. He can even identify my car from a row of cars in the parking lot.
Cat -> Cat. When he sees a cat. "Cat. Cat. Cat". We wonder where this came from.
Too too -> Train. He is now fascinated with trains. Thomas and Friends will rule part of the world!
Ahh Nee -> Ernie from Sesame Street.
Thop Thop -> His pacifier. Now.. how can we get him off this!
bag -> bag
Kok-kok -> pointing at the part which hurt
Jie-jie -> samantha
Up -> up
Ma-ma -> grandma
Po-po -> grandma
Kung-kung -> grandpa
O -> surprise !
Throw -> throw
Walk-walk -> wanna get off bed/stroller
Bao-bao -> alternative mode of transport, ie carry me!!
Wet-wet -> a place that is wet
Shh-shh -> spray
Gok-> clock/watch
Hi -> raise hand and say hi
Ep -> he will raise his pointer in front of his serious face
Nen-nen -> his favorite milk
Book -> any book

Please - not much luck here. He sometimes just screams :(
PooPoo -> He sometimes gives a signal to us when he wants to go. This is good.

Ethan can now say this phase quite well except 'mum mum' (eat). He can actually look at me whenever he is saying this word. This makes this mommy very proud. :p kiasu mom!! I was kind of sad since samantha started with 'papa' first.

Progress Report

Today is Ethan's 9th month. Time really flies. 9 long months.

Now he is a very demanding baby. Here's he's progress list :
~ he is about 9kg now
~ he has only lower 2 teeth and 3 teeth on the top are half way out... ouch! pain pain pain..
~ able to smile and smile and smile, a true smiley boy
~ say mum-mum whenever he sees food - any food
~ able to crawl - i mean very fast crawl
~ able to sit well
~ able to stand - trying to stand without holding anything now
~ able to wave for bye-bye - but his way of bye-bye is moving fingers towards himself
~ able to crap his hands when he hear "If u happy" song, or whenever u say "pie pie sow" (crap hands in mandarin)
~ able to say beaa-beaa for his bolster
~ love to make blow sound by holding daddy/mummy's hands/legs
~ love to carry by people, esp ladies (hehe..)
~ super-excited when he sees his sister around
~ very scare of waterplay.. especially swimming pool.
~ normally he hates to go into bath, but hate to come out from bath tub
~ quite fierce boy. He shouts at any his disagreement. Mommy has to have series of serious training and teaching to him from now on.

He brings lots of joys. Nevertheless we are still have not enough sleep since this little guy still woke us up at midnight/dawn for milk. When he wants milk, he wants it immediately. :p I mean immediately !!!
